Good Morning,

    • It is always a pleasure for Atlas Mara Bank to be a part of a cause that will contribute to the well-being of people in our communities; that is why we are so delighted to be here at Kitwe Teaching Hospital today.
    • Let me take this opportunity to state that it is increasingly becoming difficult to have physical interactions due to the Covid -19 pandemic, thus, it is why it is a special moment that you have accorded us with the opportunity to come here.
    • I would like to commend the Government, Kitwe Teaching Hospital Management and all stakeholders for the great maintenance of this hospital; Which is arguably one of the best teaching hospitals in Zambia. Having been established in 1958, I commend you for the sixty -three (63) years of providing health services to the Zambian people
    • We are aware that the hospital is faced with health and social challenges that require concerted efforts from both public and private sector players to address. Hence, our contribution today will hopefully cushion some of the challenges.
    • For Atlas Mara Bank, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is one of the biggest tenets. This means ensuring continuous improvement in the communities that we operate in.
    • We strive to be responsive to the needs of society and the communities at large, hence our desire to develop strong and relevant CSR programmes in partnership with organizations that strive to make contributions that uplift communities and help mitigate the various challenges they face.
    • As part of Corporate Social Responsibility, we identified the Kitwe Teaching Hospital as the beneficiary of the Nkana Golf Day event held here in Kitwe last month. The golf day was held in appreciation of our Atlas Mara Bank customers and to help raise money for the hospital.
    • In this regard, we are delighted to donate Six (6) 7A-23D Electric suction apparatus to the pediatric ward worth Fifty Thousand Kwacha Only (K50,000). We hope this donation will make a difference to the well-being of the over 70 daily ward occupants in the paediatrics wards.
    • I would also like to take this opportunity to once again unreservedly thank the institutions that have come on board to sponsor a hole and contribute money to this important cause. We applaud you!
    • We would like to reiterate that we will continue to partner with institutions both in the Private and Public sectors that share the same vision and values as we do. To quote your motto which is “to provide comprehensive quality health care, medical services and undertake functions of teaching research and development within the limits of available resources.
    • Lastly, I would like to thank the management of Kitwe Teaching Hospital for delivering healthcare to our people, we hope our donation goes a long way to helping the communities coming here for care and mitigating any challenges you are currently facing.
    • We thank you for your continuous care and God bless you
