The Validity of terms and conditions

- African Banking Corporation Zambia Limited T/A Atlasmara (“the Bank”) has launched a “Click & Win-a-House” Campaign (“Offer”) for new and existing customers (“you”) who transact using the Bank’s Digital platforms (Mobile Banking, Tenga and website) and open new accounts or reactivate existing accounts with the Bank during the campaign period from 1st September 2020 – 30th April 2021, both dates inclusive (the “Offer Period”).
- The campaign is only open to all the Bank’s individual account holders and is not open to non-individual (business or corporate) accounts.
- These terms and conditions (“Offer Terms and Conditions”) apply in respect to the Offer and for Customers (New or Existing) who successfully transact and/or open accounts within the Offer Period in line with the Eligibility Criteria (“Eligibility Criteria”) outlined below. Existing Inactive or Dormant customers who reactivate their account and maintain balances on their accounts will also be governed by these terms and conditions. These apply to you so far as the law and regulation permits, please read them carefully.
The “Eligibility Criteria” General Rules
- To be eligible you must be 18 years old or above.
- Must be a new Customer or existing customer and must meet all the Bank’s account opening and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
- Whilst you may be contacted for this campaign as being eligible to apply, you must satisfy the eligibility criteria to participate in the campaign.
- Any of the individual (Retail) accounts can be opened to be eligible for the Offer. The available accounts are as captured on the latest Retail and Digital Tariff Guide. Any of the dormant individual (Retail) accounts can be reactivated and be eligible for the campaign. The new and reactivated accounts must be opened and reactivated during the campaign period to be eligible.
- All Mobile Banking and Tenga Mobile Money accounts must be registered and active during the campaign period to be eligible. Active refers to there being transactions on the Mobile Banking App and Tenga Mobile Money as defined below.
- The average balance on new and reactivated accounts will be calculated as the average of the daily closing balance on the account for each day over the period under review.
Qualifying Transaction Types

- The transactions within scope of this campaign for purposes of eligibility are listed below and must be performed on the Mobile Banking App and Tenga as indicated:
- Airtime purchases on Mobile Banking App
- Bill payments on Mobile Banking App
- Micro Loans on Mobile Banking App
- Salary Advance on Mobile Banking App
- Transfer to Mobile on Mobile Banking App
- Payment for purchase of Lafarge cement on Tenga Mobile Money
- To be eligible for entry in the campaign based on Digital transactions, you will be required to perform a minimum of any four (4) of the five (5) Mobile Banking App transactions i.e. Airtime purchase, Bill payments, Micro Loans, Salary Advance on Mobile and Transfer to Mobile. This will form the basis of the first pool of eligible winners.
- To be eligible for entry in the campaign based on purchase transactions, you will be required to perform a minimum purchase of ten (10) bags of Lafarge cement using Tenga Mobile Money on the AfriDelivery App. This will form the basis of the second pool of eligible winners.

Qualifying Account Types and Conditions
- Any of the individual (Retail) accounts can be opened to be eligible for the Offer. The available accounts are as captured on the latest Retail and Digital Tariff Guide. Any of the dormant individual (Retail) accounts can be reactivated and be eligible for the campaign.
- All the new accounts opened must be funded and maintain the minimum balance of K200 to be eligible for the campaign.
- All the reactivated accounts must be funded and maintain the minimum balance of K200 to be eligible for the campaign.
- All new and reactivated accounts must maintain the minimum or higher account balances throughout the month to be eligible for the monthly prizes.
- All new and reactivated accounts must maintain the minimum or higher account balances throughout the campaign period to be eligible for the Grand Prize.
- For the purpose of this Offer, a customer would be referred to as an “Inactive Customer”, if there is no customer initiated transaction done in the last 90 days and above across all products which he/she holds with the Bank. A “Dormant Customer” is one who has no customer initiated transaction done in the last 180 days and above.
- In the event that your relationship with us is dormant, you will be required to visit any one of our nearest branches with supporting documents to reactivate your account.
- Existing inactive customers who are eligible for the campaign may be contacted by the Bank through various channels as may be appropriate including SMS, email or call.
How will entries be determined and what are the prizes?
To derive the entries to be used in the selection of eligible customer, the criteria below will be followed:
- Each Digital transaction type (of the 5 listed except Salary Advance on Mobile) will attract a single entry. Therefore, the number of transactions performed will equal the number of entries. The Salary Advance on Mobile will attract double entry i.e. each Salary Advance will equal two entries.
- Each payment transaction for ten (10) bags of cement using the Tenga Mobile Money on the AfriDelivery App will equal double entry. Therefore, a purchase of 10 bags using Tenga Mobile Money equals two entries, 30 bags equals six entries etc.
- For new and reactivated accounts, multiples of K200 will determine the number of entries. An average deposit balance of K200 equals one entry, K1,000 equals 5 entries etc. The average balance will be calculated as the daily average of closing balance for each day over the period under review.
- The Grand Prize will be a fully constructed house for each of the three categories outlined above i.e. Digital transactions category, Payment category and new/reactivated accounts. Monthly prizes will also be given within the same categories.
What else do I need to know about the Offer?
- These Offer Terms and Conditions only apply in the Republic of Zambia.
- Any eligible customer may participate in the campaign with the exception of:
- All corporate and non-individual customers
- Permanent and/or contract employees of the Bank (including its subsidiaries and related companies) and their immediate family members (spouses, children and parents);
- Representatives, vendors and/or agents (including advertising and promotion agents) of the Bank (including its employees, subsidiaries and related companies) and their immediate family members (spouses, children and parents); and/or
- Individuals below the age of eighteen (18) years old
- This Offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer provided by the Bank to its’ existing or new customers and the Bank reserves the sole right to decide on whether you are eligible for this Offer or not.
- By participating in this Campaign, the customers agree to be bound by the Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) of the campaign, General T&Cs of the Bank and/or any other relevant T&Cs that the Bank may impose from time to time.
- Customers also agree and consent to their personal details including without limitation to personal data or information being collected, processed and used by the Bank for the purposes of the campaign and other promotional purposes related to products, services or communication of the Bank.
- Customers hereby expressly provide consent to the Bank, at its discretion, publishing and/or displaying materials and/or any information including but not limited to the names and/or photographs of the Customers for current and future advertising and promotional purposes in any manner that the Bank deems appropriate.
- Winners may be invited to attend a Prize Giving Ceremony or other publicity events at a location to be confirmed by the Bank. Winners are responsible for all expenses incurred in attending the ceremony
- The Bank reserves the right to vary, delete, add or amend any of these Terms and Conditions contained herein, wholly or in part, at any time without prior notice to you. Our decisions on all matters relating to the campaign shall be final and conclusive.
